    Description

Old Southwestern Native American multi-stone inlay sterling silver Peyote bird bolo tie, unmarked. This colorful bolo was beautifully inlaid with turquoise, jet/onyx, mother of pearl, and spiny oyster shell, in 10 mosaic sections that form the bird. The mosaics sections are set in serrated bezels and adorned with silver raindrops all around. This old bolo slide is about 2 3/4" tall by almost 2" wide, and has a rigid double keeper cord grip, most used in pieces produced prior to mid-1950s. The slide and tips have very dark patina. The cord is roughly 38" (with 2 1/8" tips) and it's in very good shape; it doesn't appear to have been used much. The tips are also in very good condition- no dents. The complete bolo weighs about 39 grams. Exceptional stones and inlay work.
Note: There's a faint hairline across the green and black stones a the tip of the beak, only noticeable in a certain angle, so definitely a non-issue when the bolo is worn. Stones remain secure in their channels.
