    Description

    Welcome!
    WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT IT:
This bracelet is an early example of a superb Zuni work all hand crafted and very unusual. I never saw anything like it! There are three applied stations that have hand carved turquoise stones inset, framing an elongated diamond shaped coral stone. Each of the three stations are plain bezel set framed by finely hand twisted wire. Between each of these stations we have a stamped wire and four raindrops. This is all applied to a frame of two wires which taper to finished terminals. It is a light weight piece and can be easily carefully adjusted by a jeweler to squeeze the gap smaller so the bracelet can fit a smaller wrist or a larger wrist. The carved turquoise stones are fabulous and the way they surround the coral is gorgeous -- the color contrast is wondrous. This piece is an old one, probably dating to mid-century and it's masterful. It can be worn with all the other pieces that contain both turquoise and coral as well as with pieces of only turquoise or only coral so it's quite versatile and a statement of its own. I love that there are three stations, not just one, so your wrist is enveloped in beauty; it's an elegant piece.

SUMMARY: This exceptional bracelet presents us with a
unique design of hand carved and set turquoise stones surrounding a wonderfully shaped coral stone and the contrast between the colors is exquisite with hand stamped wires and applied raindrops between each station. The three stations are applied to a light weight frame so this is very easy to wear. Also, the coral and turquoise combination is one that works with either turquoise or coral or plain silver; this is a versatile piece. It is an old one, probably dating to mid-century and it is a very elegant bracelet indeed, and the only one I've ever seen with this exquisite work. It's unlikely there'll be another to be found.

Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target.
